Adisyn's graphene moonshoot

Company Interview16 Jun, 2025

Arye Kohavi from Adisyn's 2D Generation (ASX:AI1) shares insights on the challenges of using graphene as a replacement for copper in semiconductor chips. He highlights graphene's conductivity but notes the industry struggle to grow it at low temperatures. Arye says 2D Generation has found success using ALD machines, bypassing the traditional CVD method.

Kohavi explains that growing graphene below 350°C is critical to preventing chip melt during the manufacturing process, which is pivotal in advancing technology for products like the iPhone 20 and Nvidia chips. This innovation enhances chip efficiency and supports autonomous vehicle processing.

Arye mentions that 2D Generation is listed in Australia due to favourable business opportunities, despite being based in Israel. He clarifies that business operations remain steady in Israel, with ongoing efforts to facilitate research remotely amidst regional conflicts.
