Aerometrex’s chief executive Robert Veitch outlines strategic changes and significant progress over the past year, highlighting a focus on new customer acquisition and enhancements to its MetroMap product. Veitch attributes improved operational efficiency and cost reductions, following a strategic review, to considerable gains in EBITDA and cash flow. Operating revenue saw an increase of over 12%, with annual contract value (ACV) rising about 32%. The LiDAR business experienced a 21% recovery, and Veitch points out a strengthened sales team now delivering accelerated results, particularly expected in the second half of FY25.

Veitch describes Aerometrex’s technological advancements, such as adding oblique imagery, new user interfaces, and expanding coverage to capture 94% of Australia’s population, including more frequent imaging of Sydney. These efforts, he notes, have closed the product gap with their primary competitor. Artificial intelligence is increasingly integral at Aerometrex, offering advanced analytics—such as identifying swimming pools, solar panels, tree coverage, and environmental changes—from their substantial imagery database.

Addressing growth potential, Veitch identifies significant opportunities in both domestic and international markets, with New Zealand set for expansion this year. Veitch emphasises the strength of recurring revenue through long-term contracts and views consistent delivery of positive results as a key catalyst for future share price improvement for (ASX:AMX).
