AML3D (ASX:AL3) is expanding its European presence with the recent appointment of DMFG Solutions as its new distribution partner in Germany, following a similar deal with Arc Additive in the UK. Sean Ebert, CEO of AML3D, sees these moves as strategic, giving the company a much stronger foothold in the defence sectors of both the UK and Europe. With European defence spending on the rise, these partnerships are considered a springboard for further opportunities across the continent.
AML3D has already secured approximately $1.47 million in work with BAE Systems for alloy qualification to support the UK defence sector, underlining the company’s growing traction. The business operates primarily in large-scale 3D additive manufacturing, supplying complex parts for nuclear submarines, frigates, and industrial plants, while also building and deploying 3D printing systems to customers like the US Navy and US Department of Defense.
Ebert outlines a $5 million investment to establish a European technology centre, modelled after existing US operations. He states that the US remains the primary market, but a strong focus on bolstering the UK market under Aukus is underway. Financially, AML3D has increased its revenues, with $30 million in cash at bank, setting the stage for further growth.
