Company Interview / Boom bets on renewables to better the bottom line

CEO of Boom Logistics (ASX: BOL) Ben Pieyre joins to discuss the company's strategic shift towards renewable energy which comes with higher margins. Pieyre says renewables require high-end and specialised equipment which allows Boom to get better value for its investment.

While Pieyre says diversification was strategic, he says there is still robust demand for Australia's resources, and there is plenty of investment still being made, particularly in copper.

Pieyre is optimistic about ongoing capital initiatives, including a share buyback programme, designed to enhance shareholder value by bridging the gap between NTA and share price. He says investing in Boom makes good sense.
