ClearVue expands its footprint with Viridian deal

Company Interview12 May, 2025

ClearVue Technologies CEO Martin Deil (ASX: CPV) outlines the company's expansion into the New Zealand market via a partnership with Viridian Glass. Viridian Glass is New Zealand's largest glass processor, supplying the commercial and residential markets.

ClearVue's solar glazing technology allows clear glass windows to generate electricity, transforming building envelopes into power sources, paving the way for net-zero energy buildings. ClearVue leverages licensed partners, ensuring rapid scalability by deploying its technology through existing window fabricators.

Martin explains how the partnership with Viridian is vital for market penetration in the Asia-Pacific region, allowing Viridian to convert standard windows into solar panels using ClearVue's components. Martin explains that the integration process is quick and straightforward with ClearVue's technology, applicable to transparent and opaque building surfaces.

Elsewhere, ClearVue is advancing globally with projects in Sydney, Nigeria, and Perth. While competitors exist, Martin Deil says ClearVue is unique in offering large-scale, power-generating windows for buildings. While the technology adds a modest increase to building costs, Martin says it promises a return on investment within 3-15 years.
