Element 25 Limited's (ASX:E25) managing director Justin Brown states that the company secures a multi-million dollar grant from the US Department of Energy. This funding is crucial for constructing a Louisiana facility focused on producing high-purity manganese sulfate, essential for electric vehicle and storage batteries.
Justin highlights that Element 25 intends to supply manganese sulfate to General Motors and Stellantis, diversifying the supply chain away from China's dominance. The grant covers nearly half of the construction costs, estimated at over $300 million, marking a significant step towards securing financing.
Amid potential policy shifts in the US, Justin emphasises their commitment to creating jobs and expanding the manganese supply chain. Additional permits are needed, but construction is expected to start soon and take about 30 months, positioning Element 25 (ASX:E25) to meet growing demand.
