Electro Optic Systems (ASX:EOS) is experiencing strong momentum across its core markets. Andreas Schwer states that both the counter-drone and space control businesses are benefiting from escalating geopolitical tensions and substantial government investment, including the US administration’s $175 billion Golden Dome programme. Schwer calls the current environment a “supercycle”, stressing that even if conflicts subside, global defence demand is expected to remain robust for the next 7-10 years as militaries replenish depleted stocks.

The company touts a comprehensive product portfolio, led by recent releases such as the R150, an ultra-lightweight remote system, and the R800, its most powerful solution to date. Schwer highlights the battle-tested Slinger product, operational in the Ukraine war, and the new 100 kilowatt laser weapon system, which secured a landmark export contract. In the space sector, Electro Optic Systems has expanded its services from intelligence gathering to active space control, aiming to provide a full-range product suite within two to three years.

Looking ahead, Schwer identifies a pipeline of both medium and large contracts, including participation in the Australian Land 156 counter-UAS programme with Leidos. Having fully repaid its debt and possessing significant liquidity, Electro Optic Systems plans to pursue both organic growth and targeted acquisitions, aiming to cement its leadership in high-growth defence niches.
