Key points:

Locksley Resources (ASX:LKY) reports strong initial metallurgical results at the Mojave Project in California Focus on developing US domestic supply of rare earths and antimony Collaboration with Rice University to explore alternative antimony extraction methods Fully funded for upcoming exploration, with major drilling campaigns planned

Locksley Resources (ASX:LKY) is advancing its Mojave Project in California with promising results from initial metallurgical test work. Julian Woodcock states the company’s focus is directed at rare earths and antimony, with both the El Campo Rare Earth prospect and the more advanced Desert Antimony Mine Prospect under active exploration. The latest results from surface stockpiles show recovery rates well over 80% into a concentrate grading 35% antimony, despite the samples' oxidised condition due to historic mining in the 1930s.

Woodcock highlights that first-pass flotation test work achieved nearly 60% recovery, suggesting positive processing potential through flotation methods for producing a suitable concentrate. The project aligns with the aim to create a secure, domestic antimony supply chain in the US, responding to ongoing geopolitical and supply challenges. In parallel to exploration, Locksley Resources has partnered with Rice University to explore hydro metallurgical methods, particularly using deep eutectic solvents, as an environmentally friendlier alternative to traditional extraction technologies.

Funding remains solid following recent capital raises totalling over $7 million, giving the company the confidence to proceed with an expanded exploration programme. Approvals for a maiden drill programme at both the Desert Antimony Prospect and El Campo are anticipated soon, with up to 2,000m of RC drilling planned for the final quarter of 2025.
