Santos has posted a more than 2% drop in second quarter sales revenue, due to weak oil and gas prices.
Pointsbet is advising shareholders to take no action to what it calls an "unsolicited" takeover offer from Betr Entertainment. Betr made an after-market bid for its rival yesterday -- offering an all-scrip takeover which would see shareholders receive 3.81 Betr shares for ever one Pointsbet share, valuing Pointsbet at around $1.03 per share.

He'll be replaced by William Elliott. This come as CAR provides an estimate of results for FY25, with the company highlighting the revenue and earnings growth in all key markets.
Alcoa has reported a 1% jump in its aluminum production to 572,000 metric tons in the second quarter of 2025. The aluminum producer said it incurred US$115 million for tariff costs on imports to the US from Canada. It expects total aluminum segment production to remain unchanged in 2025.
Genesis Minerals has reported record gold production in June quarter at around 61,500 oz. Gold sales generated a revenue of $314 million.
Gold Road has reported quarterly sales of 37,741 ounces at $5131 per ounce. It expects its Gruyere gold mine's full year production to be at the lower end of the guidance of 325k - 355k ounces.
And 29 Metals had reported a total copper production of 5600 tonnes in the June quarter. It says it has received all the approvals and has brgun surface works for Gossan Valley project in South Australia.
