Productive PEXA rewards "patient" shareholders

Company Interview28 Feb, 2025

CEO of PEXA Glenn King shares that the company reports a $32.7M loss in the first half but signals a shareholder reward with a $50M buyback due to strong cash flow. Despite challenges in Australia and the UK, Pexa (ASX: PXA) maintains its FY25 guidance and prepares for a CEO transition with Russell Cohen stepping in.

King notes Pexa's growth, completing 90% of Australian property transactions in H1. With expansions in Tasmania and digitization in Western Australia, he says the platform continues to strengthen as national property infrastructure. In the UK, partnerships with NatWest and acquisitions are fostering international growth.

Cost control and productivity play a pivotal role in Pexa's expansion. Regulated pricing limits pricing leverage, but the platform's efficient transaction cost remains a competitive edge. King acknowledges economic challenges but highlights the platform's resilience amid global uncertainties.
