"Rare earths are not that rare; however, economic deposits of rare earths are..."

Company Interview02 Apr, 2025

Darryl Cuzzubbo CEO of Arafura Rare Earths (ASX: ARU) details the newsflow regarding the advancment of its Nolan's Project in the Northern Territory. This project is rich with rare earths that are used in the manufacture of magnets found in electric vehicles and wind turbines, with backing from Gina Rinehart's Hancock Prospecting and a significant investment from the federal government.

Cuzzubbo details details the dynamics of demand for rare earths which is expected to more than double, driven by electric vehicles and wind turbines followed by robotics, with Nolan's being one of the few construction-ready projects, and the potential for security of supply.

Cuzzubbo anticipates the Australian government will continue to support the project, given its strategic importance. He underscores the sparse global competition for rare earths, with Arafura positioned to bypass China's supply chain by processing to oxide.
