Todd Barlow of Soul Patts states that their fully franked dividend is up 10% to $0.44 per share for FY25's first half. This growth stems from a 9.9% increase in cash flow and a near $285 million net profit, fuelled by strategic investments and a robust credit portfolio.
Todd highlights that Soul Patts' defensive portfolio strategies allow them to outperform the market during volatility, producing about 2.2% better monthly returns over 25 years. He notes a 67% growth in total dividends over five years, against a mere 6% market growth.
Despite market uncertainties, Todd mentions their strong liquidity position and low gearing. They aim to capitalise on opportunities, having raised capital and retained $750 million cash, alongside undrawn debt liquidity. Todd believes their diverse portfolio supports steady cash flow, crucial for dividend increases.
