The race to ensure cancer treatment isn't worse than the disease

Company Interview19 Jun, 2025

Daniel Tillett from Race Oncology announces the successful dosing of a first patient with RC220 in a phase one clinical trial. This trial combines RC220 with doxorubicin, aiming to find a safe dosage that provides cancer treatment while minimising organ damage.

Daniel notes that the trial seeks to establish the maximum tolerated dose of doxorubicin and RC220. This drug offers dual benefits by targeting cancer and protecting organs like the heart. Research expands into countries like Hong Kong and South Korea to further validate results.

Despite the high cost, Daniel states the company is fully funded for the ongoing trials, mainly driven by shareholder support. He shares that the biotech market has faced challenges recently but is optimistic, given Race Oncology's progress, reflected in the rising share price.
