Weebit Nano (ASX:WBT), a non-volatile memory technology company, has licensed its ReRAM (Resistive RAM) technology to onsemi.
CEO Coby Hanoch shared that their technology is now widely recognized as the new industry standard, with demand rapidly growing. Unlike flash memory, which is nearing its limits, ReRAM offers advantages like higher speed, lower cost, better efficiency, and endurance, especially in advanced semiconductor geometries.
onsemi's integration of ReRAM into its Trio platform is a major endorsement, signaling the technology's readiness for mass adoption.
Additionally, Weebit (ASX:WBT) is collaborating with MSR on AI systems that require local memory in edge devices, an area where ReRAM excels. The emerging memory market is projected to grow from near-zero to $80 billion in a few years, and Weebit (ASX:WBT) aims to capture a significant share. Despite the stock price decline, Coby remains confident that revenue growth will eventually reflect the technology's potential.
