Biome Australia (ASX:BIO) has reported a record performance with $6.5 million revenue generated in the December quarter, an increase of over 40% from the previous year. Blair Norfolk attributes this strong growth to rising same store sales within the company’s pharmacy network and practitioner customers. Biome Australia has now reached nearly 4000 distribution points across the country, including more than 3000 pharmacies. Norfolk highlights the favourable momentum in EBITDA, with a reported $1 million for Q2 FY26, and expects EBITDA margins to continue to improve.
Norfolk identifies the success of the flagship Activated Probiotics brand as a key driver of growth, with the brand now the leading probiotic range within Australian pharmacies. Partnerships with major pharmacy chains have contributed to strong shelf presence and the launch of new products, resulting in industry-beating growth rates. Norfolk points out that the company’s cash position is strengthening, allowing further margin expansion as scale increases.
Biome Australia recently expanded with the Activated Therapeutics range, aimed at conditions beyond gut health. The new range, which includes the menopause product Oestro-ISO and the reflux support Pepti-Biotic, is experiencing promising uptake in leading chains such as Terry White, Priceline Pharmacy, and Bloom’s The Chemist. Norfolk is confident that their Vision 27 growth strategy, targeting $75 million cumulative sales between 2025 and 2027, remains firmly on track.
