Fresh from its ASX debut, Monvia (ASX: MNV) is positioning itself as a next-generation software provider to the life insurance industry, with artificial intelligence and international expansion at the heart of its growth strategy.

CEO Simon Bright says the company's cloud-native platform provides insurers with end-to-end software covering everything from policy administration and claims processing to compliance and reinsurance. Unlike traditional software providers, Mandvi can also offer individual modules, giving insurers greater flexibility.

Artificial intelligence is becoming an increasingly important differentiator. Rather than replacing human decision-making, Bright says AI is being embedded into the platform to automate labour-intensive tasks such as summarising medical records and accelerating claims assessments. That has the potential to reduce processing times from weeks to days while maintaining the regulatory oversight required by life insurers.

Having spent years building its software alongside major Australian insurers, Mandvi is now looking beyond the domestic market. The company sees Singapore and Hong Kong as its first international targets, with the UK a longer-term opportunity given similar regulatory frameworks.

Bright says listing on the ASX provides the capital and profile needed to accelerate expansion, while relationships with global insurers already operating in Australia could help open doors in offshore markets.
