Monadelphous Group Limited (ASX:MND) announced that Kerman Contracting, the company's non-process infrastructure business, has been awarded a contract with Rio Tinto associated with the Brockman Syncline 1 (BS1) project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The contract is valued at approximately $165 million and covers the design and construction of non-process infrastructure facilities, including a heavy mine equipment workshop, as well as heavy and light mine equipment washdown, tyre change, and fuel storage and refuelling facilities. Work will commence in 2026 and is expected to be completed in 2028.
Monadelphous Managing Director Zoran Bebic said the award reflects Kerman's expertise and strong track record, further strengthening its forward order book. He said the award builds on the multidisciplinary construction contract Monadelphous secured at BS1 late last year, and is in addition to the work currently being performed at Hope Downs 2. The announcement was authorised by Company Secretary Philip Trueman.
