About Regis Healthcare (ASX:REG)
Regis Healthcare Limited is an ASX-listed aged care provider headquartered in Melbourne. It operates residential aged care homes across Australia together with home care services, day therapy and respite centres and retirement accommodation. Its revenue is derived from government funding and from resident and client fees.
Regis Healthcare (ASX:REG) announced it has entered into a binding agreement to acquire the business and assets of the home care business of Royal Freemasons Homes of Victoria, a not-for-profit provider of Support at Home and Commonwealth Home Support Programme services with approximately 480 clients. Regis said the acquisition is expected to increase its home care revenue by more than $10 million, taking annualised home care revenue to approximately $50 million. The transaction will be funded from Regis' existing cash, and completion is expected in the second quarter of FY27, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions.
Regis CEO Andrew Kinkade said Royal Freemasons is a well-regarded home care provider that strengthens Regis' existing operations and expands its scale in Melbourne. He said the enlarged home care business is well positioned to benefit from key industry tailwinds including an ageing population, increased Government funding and a growing consumer preference to age in place.
